Amazing Blind Surfer Achieves His Dream of Surfing The Pipeline

This is definitely be one of those “Your excuse is invalid” times. The Derek Rabelo story is the amazing tale of blind man Derek Rabelo, a man who proves that even impossible dreams can sometimes come true. He’s a surfer. He’s blind. Frankly, he’s is a miracle; one of the most inspiring people to have gone viral online in a long long time (and a heck of a lot better than a baby biting a finger or a panda sneezing, that’s for sure) .

Derek Rabelo’s story is produced by Walking on Water Films, a team that have produced eleven documentaries of which The Derek Rabelo story is the latest.  The film tells of Derek’s three year journey of training, in which through courage and determination he trained his mind, body and spirit to achieve his goal of surfing Pipeline. “Pipeline is basically the ultimate wave in a lot of ways, “says 11X World Champion surfer Kelly Slater.    “Many surfers with sight do not venture out even after they see that others can do it.”

Derek Rabelo’s success and journey are a reminder to us all of the power of faith, courage and determination.
