You likely come across many bad communication skills examples every day, and you know when you do. Whenever you because when you ask someone with bad communication skills a question you’re met with such a disinterested response as “Uh-huh” or “Yup” or other such unintelligible dribble?

You’re trying to have am intelligent conversation but your company appears to have missed a few vital chapters of evolution. But, here, I have to confess: I’m one of the people who sometimes shows bad communication skills, without thinking about it, makes those ignorant grunting sounds. And here’s another confession: So are you.

If you’re 100% honest with yourself, you’ve probably given someone some bad communication skills examples youself.
While we can’t stand hearing disinterest, oftentimes we show disinterest ourselves. Well, let us rectify this situation now by making an agreement: I won’t “Uhhh huh, yuh, duh” you, if you don’t “uhhh huh, yuh, duh,” me. Deal?
Instead of these horrible grunting sounds, let’s choose to always respond with sentences that at least have some vestige of intellect. Even if we’re not sure quite what to say sometimes, rather than “Yup” let’s at least go with a complete sentence, “Yes, I agree.” Not only do short sentences such as these show more interest to our company than “Yuh, Duh, uh-huh” but they serve to make us appear more intelligent, even if we truly are monkeys.
Stop showing those bad communication skills examples
Let’s do away with our bad communication skills. Let’s be done with that awful Umming as well. If we need to think, it is much better to say, “Let me mull that over a moment,” or even just, “I have to think about that a mo” than it is to Ummmmmm.
Even the best communication skills can be spoiled by these parasitic grunts. Let’s be done with them once and for all. Let’s choose to sound and act intelligently and politely; doing so will cut the fat from our conversation, leaving a lean linguistic cuisine which our company is certain to savour.
