Catalina Ponor’s Most Inspiring Performances

As far as inspiring self expression goes, Cataline Ponor does her best work on floor and balance beam. She is so masterful, beautiful and, yes, expressive on these apparatus that it’s simply impossible to watch her without feeling more connected to your own body and its own expressiveness. So, with that in mind, here’s Catalina Ponor’s absolute best floor and balance beam performances ever. This page lists the performance, but if you want to actually watch them just click this link: Catalina Ponor’s Best Performances.

Catalina Ponor’s first major event was in 2003 at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships where she put in amazing performances on both the balance beam (scoring 9.587) and floor (9.700) to help Romania come in second place.

Catalina Ponor’s First of many Golds on Beams

It was later that year that Catalina Ponor earned her first of many gold medals on beam, when she competed at the Artistics Gymnastics World Cup. Her balance beam score was exactly the same as it was at the World Artistic Gymnstics Championships, 9.587.

Catalina Ponor went on to get her personal best score on both beam and floor at the European Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Amsterdam in May 2004, scoring 9.725 in beam and 9.637 on floor.

Catalina Ponor Rules Athens 2004

The highlight of Catalina Ponor’s career was at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 where she won gold medals for floor, balance beam and team. She also earn her personal best score on balance beam with 9.787 and floor with 9.750.

Under the new scoring system, Catalina Ponor’s first exceptional performance came at the 2007 Romanian national Championships in Ploiiesti, where she scored 16.500 on balance beam.

These represent Catalina Ponor’s highest scores on both beam and floor, though of course she did gain many fans through her decent (but not exceptional) performance at the London Olympics, where she helped the Romanian team to take the bronze.

Catalina Ponor has captured the hearts of millions and inspired even more. We don’t have gold medals here on ARoleModel.com, but if we did you’d have at least one of them.
