The Playstation 4's social technology will provide gamer's with skills that reach far beyond gaming
The gaming world has had time to savour the flavour and digest the news of Sony’ Playstation 4 press conference. While the conference itself focussed on memory, speed and graphics, Sony’s biggest contribution to the gaming world lies in its desire for us all to get social.
The Two Biggest Social Advancements the Playstation 4 offers Gaming
- The Playstation 4 provides editing software to let gamers share their experience with friends.
- Friends can take over a console from down the block to help the gamer overcome in-game challenges.
The Playstation 4's social technology will provide gamer's with skills that reach far beyond gaming

Sony’s Social Focus On Playstation 4 is Precisely What Gaming Needs
And now for the top 4 PS4 Playstation 4 games, wth Diablo 3, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Destiny and Killzone Shadow Fall
4th Best PS4 Playstation 4 Game: Diablo 3:
Blizzard have revealed that Diablo 3 will be coming to both Playstation 4 and PLaystation 3. Diablo 3 centres around couch-based multiplayer action and allows four players to work together.
3rd Best PS4 Playstation 4 Game. The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt :
CD Projekt were one of the first developers to be allowed access to the Playstation 4. With the success of the Witcher series that’s not surprising. Witcher 3 Wild Hunt ill be released at launch on Playstation 4.
2nd Best PS4 Playstation 4 Game. Destiny:
Bungie’s new title is termed a “shared world shooter” and will feature exclusive content for PLaystation 4. Bungie were unable to show much gameplay, but heck, it’s Halo for Ps4 so, I mean, it’s gonna be brilliant, right?
1st Best PS4 Playstation 4 Game: Killzone Shadow Fall:

Top 4 PS4 Playstation 4 Games, Diablo 3, Witcher, Destiny, Killzone
And now on to the top 8 PS4 Playstation 4 games, with Drive Club, Infamous Second Sun, Watch Dogs and the new Final Fantasy.
8th best PS4 / Playstation 4 Game : Drive Club:
The PS4 (Playstation 4’s) first driving game wowed audiences. Personally, I’m not sure why as it doesn’t really look that much better than Grand Turismo 5, but heck, it did, and that’s good enough for me.
Drive Club from Evolution Stuios focuses on team play and racing in clubs around the world. It will support challenge integration via phone. This is definitely one of the most intriguing titles so far announced for Playstation 4.
7th 8th best PS4 / Playstation 4 Game : Infamous Second Sun:
The trailer for Infamous Second Sun was pretty stupid. Sucker Punch desperately tried to stir drama by asking what would happen if people with superpowers suddenly revealed themselves in a world of over-surveillance. . . which, to be fair, is a pretty random question to ask. InFamous Second Read more [...]
Top 8 PS4 Games, with Final Fantasy, Drive Club, Infamous and Final Fantasy
Twelve games have been revealed for the Playstation 4 so I, quite logically, thought I’d put them in this here list of the top twelve PS4 games. .. makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
The Top Twelve Playstation 4 Games.
12th best PS4 / Playstation 4 Game: Deep Down
Capcom’s Deep Down might actually end up being pretty amazing, if it follows in the footsteps of Dark Souls or Dragon’s Dogma. But it could also be rubbish. Given that next to nothing has been seen of it, it’s hard to tell which way Deep Down on PS4 will go.
11th best PS4 / Playstation 4 Game : Knack:
The first game shown on the PS4, but it failed to wow audiences. Knack is a cutesy action platformer that will probably end up being great, but the footage shown at the Playstation 4 conference wasn’t enough to impress.
10th best PS4 / Playstation 4 Game : Quantic Dreams Title:
David Cage has garnered a lot of respect over recent years which may or may not be solely Read more [...]
Top Twelve PS4 Playstation 4 Games, with Knack, Deep Down and Witness
Killzone Shadow Fall might look absolutely stunning but it’s precisely the same game only with better graphics. Which, ironically, is so typically Sony – failing to deliver genuinely new gameplay experience but simply pumping out the same old tripe with better visuals.
Killzone Shadow Fall was the PS4’s most hype moment during the Sony conference. It was the one game that truly showed the power of the Playstation 4. It looked absolutely stunning.
Then again, it’s entirely possible that the Killzone footage shown could just have been a pre-rendered cinematic . . . which might stir a few memories with regard to former Playstation console launches.
So, we have a game that appears to play precisely the same as older games and fails to deliver any new gameplay experience, with amazing graphics that might just be pre-rendered.
Oh dear.
Games like Killzone Shadow Fall on PS4 show developers lack of creativity

Killzone Shadow Fall for PS4 Playstation 4, Same Old Game With A Facelift
The very first game shown for the PS4 (Playstation 4), Knack is an action platformer from Mark Cerny, the PS4's lead hardware designer who has worked on every Playstation to date.
Knack is a humorous and charming platformer with the sort of cutesy characters you would expect. That said, the game doesn't look outlandishly "Next Gen." For the first title to be shown on PS4, this isn't exactly earth shatteringly brilliant. In fact, if this were the standard of PS4 games shown at the conference, it would be hard to give a damn about the new console.
"Knack's" one innovation -- Vita streaming -- is totally pointless
The most exciting revelation regarding Knack was its use of Gaikai to stream PS4 games to Vita. Given than no one actually bought a Vita, though, is this really relevant in any way? Probably not.
It's hard to image why Sony let Knack lead the way. Perhaps it's simply because its Lead Designer is also the PS4's Lead Hardware Designer.
Either way, Knack definitely doesn't Read more [...]
Why Action Plaftormer “Knack” Was An Awful First Showing For PS4
Being a 2D game based on old-school gameplay principles, can Street Fighter survive on PS4 or is it about to eat a KO?
Yoshiniri Ono teased about Street Fighter in the Sony press conference by a) saying he was going to talk about Street Fighter and b) showing a picture of a tweet from Blanka.
The Street Fighter series may have found new popularity with Street Fighter 4 (which is, without question, the best fighting game on the current generation of consoles. . .well, maybe Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is close, but meh). That said, the very fact that a 2D fighting game is still able to sell so many copies is something of a miracle.
Will Playstation 4 fans, who can play games with the kind of visuals that Killzone (PS4) boasts? Will they really be content seeing a 2D title in their new console? I would be, but heck, that’s only because I’m a Street Fighter obsessive.
If Street Fighter is going to remain at the top, something big is going to need to happen. Perhaps Capcom will Read more [...]
After infuriating fans with Mass Effect 3, Mass Effect for PS4 needs to be a hit or the franchise is in jeopardy.
Mass Effect 3 split gamers like no other game on the PS3. This is proven by the metacritic scores. Critics gave the game 93 out of 100. But the fans themselves? About 50% rated it from 8 to 10 (out of 10). The other half voted between 1 and 4. Clearly, Mass Effect 3 was a game that a lot of people loved, but just as many people absolutely detested.
One area in which Mass Effect will probably evolve is in the scale of the stories. Lord knows BioWare love a good story, and with the amount of space they’re going to be afforded with the Playstation 4’s Hard Drive, they could practically fit the entire works of Shakesepare in it.
Size, however, does not a good game make. BioWare need to undo the massive mistake they made with Mass Effect 3 and deliver fans the sort of brilliance they achieved with the first two games in the series. Only then will Mass Effect be Read more [...]
Mass Effect on Playstation 4 Must Regain Fans Lost From Mass Effect 3
After so much hype and then insufferable delays, Team Ico's The Last guardian MUST end up a success on Playstation 4 (PS4)
What the heck is going on with The Last Guardian anyway? It was supposed to be a work of genius, a piece of art, so staggering it would redefine the word “Game.” Now it’s coming to Playstation 4. Then it was delayed by eons. Now it’s coming to Playstation 4. . . with so much hype and such a delay, if The Last Guardian isn’t amazing it will be a huge disappointment.
I personally seriously hope that The Last Guardian can achieve great things on PLaystation 4. Team Ico gave the world such unique and rewarding experiences with Shadow of the Collossus. They’re the type of developer that can offers something no other developer can. Their style and art is so rare in gaming that it would be a huge blow for the industry for The Last Guardian to be anything less than a groundbreaking triumph.
Combining Team Ico’s art and style with the graphical power Read more [...]
The Last Guardian On Playstation 4 Is Do Or Die For Team Ico
The Playstation MOVE has failed to impress anybody. Now, Media Molecule look to bring it to life with "Dreams." Can they succeed?
Okay so technically MOVE is a controller and not a game, but since it’s release it’s been next to pointless. Hopefully Sony can turn that around and make use of their dildo-esque controller.
We have already seen that the MOVE is getting some attention on the PLaystation 4. Sony’s PS3 conference revealed Media Molecules new Dreams game which seems to make innovative use of PLaystation MOVE. Of course, it’s hard to tell how good a game is going to be from a few minutes of footage at a press conference, but the enthusiasm Media Molecule have for MOVE can only be a good thing.
Will MOVE find new life on the PLaystation4? will Media Molecule’s “Dream” game be able to succeed where other developers and games have failed? Hopefully, cause let’s face it, it’s about time somebody did something with MOVE. Read more [...]
Media Molecule and Playstation 4 Must Make Move Relevant
After failing to impress fans with Resident Evil 5 and 6, CAPCOM need to make Resident Evil 7 for Playstation 4 a huge success.
Resident Evil 5 and 6 failed to impress fans of the series. It wasn’t that the game were particularly bad, they were just clearly nowhere near the standard of previous Resident Evil games, particularly the stunning Resident Evil 4.
A new console release is a time of challenge for franchises. New franchises will be born and old franchises will die. If Capcom want Resident Evil to stay at the top of survival horror, they’re going to need to reinvent the wheel.
If Capcom intent on pumping out a game that’s supposedly amazing just because of the amount of character / storylines and modes etc. they’re going to pay the price. Resident Evil needs to be reinvented. Will it see a redesign on the scale of Devil May Cry? Time will tell.
If Resident Evil 7 is as good as it can be, it could be truly terrifying. Imagine seeing the Scorpion from Resident Read more [...]
Resident Evil 7 for Playstation 4 Must Impress Fans Or Its Game Over
Grand Theft Auto 5 looks sublime. Due to horrific timing, however, it now seems as though the Playstation 4 could spell disaster for Grand Theft Auto.
The Grand Theft Auto series has done absolutely nothing wrong. It’s one of the best franchises of games of all time and has consistently released the most impressive titles.
Unfortunately, Grand Theft Auto 5 has taken something of a nut-shot thanks to the fact that it’s being released on PS3 only a couple months before Playstation 4 is released. How will Rockstar solve this problem? Will they release the game on both consoles?
Will Grand Theft Auto only be released on PS3, in which case it’s bound to be forgotten quickly under the pressure of the new console? Will it be revamped for PS4, in which case how can Rockstar possibly compete with the competition when their title has been designed specifically for the console’s precursor?
It might not be Rockstar’s fault, but thanks to release dates, they’re in a mess. Read more [...]
Grand Theft Auto 5 on Playstation 4 is a Hazard for Rockstar
After the disappointment of recent Final Fantasy games, the Final Fantasy franchise could be dead on PS4 (Playstation 4).
Disgust is the first word to come to mind when thinking about the Final Fantasy franchise. It was totally disgusting to see such a phenomenal and important franchise take such a turn for the worse.
Final Fantasy games on the PS3 have been disappointing, to say the least. The franchise now sits on a “make or break” point. They need a mega success to make the Final Fantasy what is used to be.
Hopefully, the next Final Fantasy game will thrill. With the graphical prowess of the Playstation 4 (PS4), the next Final Fantasy game could be jaw droppingly beautiful. But it’s not graphics that will make the game a success. The franchise needs to get its gameplay back to basics, back to what fans know and love.
The very last thing that anybody involved with Final Fantasy wants to see is another “movie game” like Final Fantasy 13. Sure, Square Enix took Read more [...]
Final Fantasy for PS4 — Could This Be The End of Final Fantasy?
Call of Duty might have ruled the PS3, but it needs to up its game on Playstation 4.
Call of duty has been thriving for years off the same basic premise. The only real updates to the Call of Duty set-up has been in multiplayer tweaks here and there.
This lack of creativity might have been fine on the PS3, but now, with so many other developers and franchises genuinely evolving their work, Call of Duty will have to find a new height if it is to stay at the top.
It is interesting to question what would happen if Call of Duty doesn’t see the creative evolution it sorely needs. Being CoD, it surely won’t die immediately. Call of Duty fans will willingly buy a trashy game just because its a Call of Duty game, and perhaps Activision can feel some reassurance about that.
The simple fact of the matter, however, is that there’s more competition in First Person Genre games than in any other genre. We’ve already seen Killzone for PLaystation 4 and it looks pretty sick. There Read more [...]
