Star Trek into Darkness director JJ Abrams has made a dying fan’s wish come true by allowing him to watch Star Trek Into Darkness months before its release.
It was Christmas day when Reddit user iddeyut (Grady Hendrix) made a wish via reddit for his friend Dan, a 41 year old cancer sufferer, to be able to see Star Trek Into Darkness. Knowing that his friend had just weeks to live, he had bough a ticket to The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey simply to catch the 10 minute preview to Stark Trek Into Darkness. That day, Dan was sent to hospital, meaning he missed the preview.
Spreading online, the story of Dan and Grady reached Paramount and JJ Abrams, who naturally wanted to do all they could to help Dan. They set up a private viewing for the cancer sufferer and his wife and they watched the film on Sunday.

James Gandolfini’s talking about cutting up prostitutes (who may or may not wearing chanel No.5) and a dark theme reminds us of how the world is a dog eat dog place where everyone’s out for themselves.

There’s only ever one of three ways a student film will go. It can completely flop, becoming an embarrassing to everyone and their mum. It can be 100% pure meh, or it can be utterly awesome, a gobsmacking surprise of wonder that goes down in the annals of short filmmaking as a triumph.
Benigni is definitely an example of the latter. Coming from Finland’s Turku Arts Academy, Benigni is a wonderfully unique piece of filmmaking: a combination of puppetry, stop-motion and computer-aided 2D animation. But naturally, it’s not so much the manner of the film’s making that thrills us here at ARoleModel.com but rather the film’s story.

The idea of there being a sequel to Waterworld—Hollywood’s biggest box office bomb ever—has been discussed on and off for years. The most recent of those stories came last month after 400,000 viewers watched an airing of Waterworld on TV.
400,000 viewers for the biggest box office bomb ever? That’s one heck of a successful failure.
It’s clear to see why Waterworld has always been ridiculed while still capturing a healthy audience. Though the movie was doubtlessly a complete debacle and one of the worst pieces of filmmaking ever, it was also a very powerful idea.

Most of the action in The Girl is Mime takes place around a silent police interrogation.
