Pixar’s Brave: 10 Things We’re Most Looking Forward To

  • 10: The voices. Brave will feature a full cast of authentic Scottish accents .
  • 9: The Hair!: Word is that the biggest challenge with this movies was in animating Merida’s hair!
  • 8: The Easter Eggs: We’re not sure how or where the traditional Easter Eggs will feature, but we’ve been reassured that they’ll be there.
  • 7: Merida’s three brothers: Sure to be one of the comedy highlights of Brave are Meredith’s three brothers: Harris, Hubert and Hamish.

 

  • 6: The scenery: The beautiful Scottish landscape, filled with mountains reaching to the clouds, is sure to look stunningly beautiful.
  • 5: Fergus’ missing Leg: another comedy highlight in Brave revolves around King Fergus (Billy Connolly’s) missing leg, which he lost in a scrap with the Bear King.
  • 4: The Music: composer Patrick Doyle has promised a very original score that will be authentic to Scottish music, bagpipes and all.

 

      • 3: The inspiration of independence: the central theme of Brave is one of independence, with Merida beig determined to carve her own path in life. Independence is always a great theme for a movie, and we don’t doubt that Pixar will pull it off wonderfully.
      • 2: The story: Pixar have stated that Brave’s main focus is its story. Whilst the animation and effects might be brilliant, it’s the good old storytelling that’s the star here.
      • 1: Merida herself: The star of Brave’s journey of independence and her learning of bravery is set to be a truly inspiring tale.
