Mo Farah has just sent the whole of Great Britain into ecstasy . . . again. When Mo Farah won the 10 000 metres on Super Saturday it was one of the greatest moments in the history of British athletics. And now he’s gone and done it again.
Sometimes, all you can do is sit back and watch brilliance. We were all lucky enough to have done exactly that. Words can’t express the brilliance of Mo Farah nor what he has accomplished in London 2012. When we all sat watching the Olympics opening ceremony we thought we might see something special for Britain, but surely none of us expected it to be as special as it has been. Mo Farah has been a huge part of the making of these Olympics.
In his interview with the BBC, Mo Farah said, “It’s unbelievable. I had a lot of confidence going into the race. . . .I knew I had to hold on. I got great support from the crowd. It means a lot to me. . . .I’m amazed. Two gold medals. Who would have thought that? I cannot thank everybody enough. . .I’m glad it all worked out well. It’s been a long journey, hard work and grafting.’
All we can say is thank you for that hard work and grafting Mo, you sent everyone into fits of joy, from the BBC presenters to the thousands at the stadium to the millions watching at home.
Mo Farah. Thank you.
