Okugi Studio’s of Twist n Catch Releasing Shad’O

Okugi Studio, the team behind the amazing Twist n Catch, is bringing the gaming world one of the most original tower defence games in years:  Shad’O

I have to confess. When I saw this trailer I gasped with delight. The idea behind this title is simply amazing. You’re inside the mind of William, a young boy whose memory has been covered over by fear. William is losing his memory, but if he (or you, Mr / Mrs gamer) can fight of the fear William’s memory will return to him.

What an awesome idea for a game to be based around. Not only does it give the tower defence action a fresh feel with a unique story, but it makes we gamers beg a question: just what is it that William has forgotten, and why is he so afraid?

Judging by the trailer, Okugi Studio’s Shad’o will feature some solid voice acting which will truly bring the trailer to life And as a side note, as an actor, I wouldn’t half love being involved in such an awesome production.  . .but I digress

In Shad’O, the gamer must collect light to drive back fog in order to protect William’s memory. Magic spells are at hand to help with this task, as our ten different companions. As the light begins to spread through William’s mind, he gradually regains his memory, leading to the revelation: the truth that his memory holds. Of course, we don’t know what this memory will be, but we can’t wait to find out!

It’s so refreshing when an independent game developer comes up with such original and unique ideas like this. It reminds us how creative video games can be as a medium. So, thanks Okugi Studio. Can’t wait to dive right into the heart (or memory) of this excellent-looking game .
