Capcom’s new live action Resident Evil 6 trailer will have you looking back at older gaming commercials with a tear in your eye.
Video game trailers have taken a huge progressive leap over the past few years. if you’re an older gamer like me –though to be honest at 30 im still young, honest :) — then you’ll remember the days of the Atari Pac-Man commercial.

What made trailers like this so good was that they were cheesie. See, Capcom, cheese is a good thing. Cheese in games is the same as cheese in burgers: a necessity. Games were never meant to be overly serious. Horror games are almost always on the side of Hammer Horror rather than Steven King-esque masterpieces. The Resident Evil series has always had its fair share of cheese, which we gamers have devoured with glee.
