What Are Some of the Causes of Depression?

For years, researchers have been trying to discover what are some of the causes of depression. In the video below, Psychetruth—one of the best YouTube uploaders of psychological videos—has some extremely enlightening information about the causes of depression.

As the video states, “The pharmaceutical industry has managed to convey a misleading picture—the link between serotonin and depression is very tenuous and not convincing.”

Now, I myself am not a doctor or healthcare professional. I’m just a regular guy spreading some light on the people and videos which deserve it, of which this is one. But even my uneducated brain can see that the above line is a polite way of saying that depression sufferers are being screwed.

Psychetruth states in this video—and provides some excellent research to substantiate the claim—that the pharmaceutical injury has intentionally mislead people suffering from depression into believing that pills can cure depression. Or, to put it even blunter: they’re lying to depression sufferers to make a profit. So, what are some of the causes of depression? Well, according to this video, the cause of depression is not chemical and probably cannot be solved with a pill.
